Hessay Chapel – A Small Chapel with a Big Heart
There’s fresh life at Hessay Chapel!
The scaffolding is down, and the building is beginning to shine once again. The windows have been carefully restored, a brand new door now welcomes visitors, and the chapel is equipped with updated heating and lighting. Solar panels have also been added, helping us care not just for the building, but for God’s creation too. The next step will be a fresh coat of paint on the exterior, giving this much-loved space a renewed and welcoming look.
Though modest in size, Hessay Chapel holds a deep place in the heart of our community. It’s long been a place of prayer, peace and gathering—and now it’s being lovingly prepared to serve future generations.
As we watch the transformation unfold, we're reminded of God’s promises:
"See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?"
Isaiah 43:19
"Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labour in vain."
Psalm 127:1
"And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds."
Hebrews 10:24
We’re so thankful to all who’ve supported the project so far. Why not come and see what’s happening?
🕊️ Worship continues at 9.30 am on the first Sunday of each month—all are welcome.
☕ Coffee mornings are held from 10 am to 12 noon on the second Saturday of each month—a warm drink, a friendly chat, and maybe even a slice of cake await you!
This chapel may be small, but it’s full of heart—and there’s always room for you.
